Cold Steel Swords Editorial Review
The MAA Messer sword by Cold Steel is a lightweight and flexible option that is reasonably sharp and includes a full tang Construction with traditional messer Construction. While some users have had issues with the guard rattling, others have reported no problems. It is made outside the USA in locations such as Japan, Taiwan, or India. It is predominantly a "glorified machete" that is useful for close-quarters combat, and not a historically accurate reproduction. Customers complimented the lightweight and easy-to-use Construction, with some individuals noting that it was faster than other messer options on the market. Reviews were mixed, with some buyers returning the sword for quality issues and experiencing restocking charges. Overall, the sword is Considered to offer excellent value for its price point.
